Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty

Overstitch endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty (esg) is a minimally invasive weight loss procedure that uses endoscopy to reduce the size of the stomach without the need for surgery. This innovative technique involves the use of a specialized device called the overstitch, which allows for the creation of a series of stitches that narrow the diameter of the stomach.

Overstitch esg is a relatively new and exciting development in the field of weight loss surgery. Traditional weight loss surgeries like gastric bypass and sleeve gastrectomy are effective, but they require invasive surgical procedures that involve significant risks and lengthy recovery times. Overstitch esg, on the other hand, is a non-surgical, outpatient procedure that can be completed in just a few hours, with patients typically returning to normal activities within a few days.

The overstitch device used in the procedure is a flexible endoscope that is equipped with a suturing device. The device is inserted through the mouth and into the stomach, allowing the surgeon to create a series of stitches that effectively reduce the size of the stomach. By doing so, the stomach is able to hold less food, which can result in significant weight loss.
